Everytime I look over pictures of your yard I get jealous. Awesome!
Yoshi:
Thanks, Dan. Unfortunately I have neglected by backyard for a while, and it's looking rough right now. I need to put in some time and effort soon.

Thanks, Carol. I enjoyed visiting my old playground: Banff/Lake Louise/Jasper area. I'll have to visit Toronto soon.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. I love seeing the world thru your lens!!! ESPECIALLY Machu Picchu!!!
Yoshi:
Thanks for your kind comment, Mikell!
The photos of Machu Picchu were taken in 2004, meaning that I was using a non-DSLR camera then. I think I used Olympus Camedia C2500L, one of the earlier digital cameras! I have since moved on to E-300 (my first DSLR camera), E-510, E-3, and finally to E-5.

Yoshi, hi! What a treat to see your beautiful images! I also checked our class website and thoroughly enjoyed the Haleakala photos, your recent snorkeling photos, and other photos of Wailea, the sunset, wind turbines, etc. The snorkeling images you captured made my heart sing, recalling the times when I put on a facemask and went swimming in the warm Hawaiian waters. Seeing Puffer Fish, Mamos, Sea Urchins, Coral and Hinaleas in their natural environment, enjoying their freedom, was so delightful! It was also awesome to see such clear images of the rare Silversword plants in the crater, too! I hiked the crater via the Sliding Sands Trail, but our 4-H group back in the 1960s didn't hike the sands but rather the other exit route, a steep cliff that was rocky. It was, by far, the most exciting adventure I've experienced in my life, like walking on the moon. Thank you for sharing your experiences and photos, Yoshi! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Yoshi:
Sharon, I'm glad to hear that you've enjoyed viewing the photos I took during my recent trip to Maui. During the summer recess after the sophomore year, I did do a 3-day hike in the crater, spending two nights at two different cabins on the crater floor. We entered the crater on the Sliding Sands Trail and climbed out on a steep trail up a cliff face - the one you hiked. It was rather tiring (even for a teenager), but it was a great experience. I can see why you consider it one of your most exciting adventure.
I, too, wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year!
